Haiti and god

In about 6 months, the USGS (which is about the best site of its kind in the world bar none) will only show one quake on their initial list this date. …

They got rid of a dufuss called Aristide several years ago. But no one thought to plant trees. It is pointless sending monetary aid to places like this except in the case of such emergency relief as is required at the moment.

From Sumatera to Madagasgar as the truly amazing* Weatherlawyer's pre-dictions about deforestry made clear in the middle of 2004 IIRC, tearing down mangroves for sea front hotel space is deadly. Haiti is probably the most tree deficient region in the Caribbean. That explains the extensive devastation that occurred their with those three or four hurricanes a couple of years back.

Cuba came in for a similar pasting but so far as I know, their infrastructure was and is superior to Lousiana's, never mind a third world country ruled by CIA puppets.

(Plus of course Lousiana's National Guard was off killing Ayrabs, fortunately the local police kept things in order the way the Natioanl Guard did in 1927, so it all turned out fine.

*And No I don't really consider myself amazing. Sometimes I amaze myself. Having the ability to see the obvious isn't genius it's just honesty and caring to find out more. Any fool can do it. This one has.)

Let the plate technology exculpationists begin. (Fat chance!)
I'd like a suggestion why the number of Mag 4+ quakes takes a dive when there are large earthquakes but then jumps back up if the magnitudes don't exceed 5.5.

But just a reason for spates in the exact same spot would be a start.

When god pesented mankind with the Garden of Eden, we were informed that as long as we looked after it we would prosper. Since then we have not extended Eden, far from it! Rapacious behaviour for political and financial reasons have caused these things.

So far god has been kind to the western world, the last to suffer direct natural disaster, the writing has been on the wall so long it is danger of fading. Don't be mislead by graphiti.

  1. It just beggars belief that plate techtonics (whatever that is) can cause such spates of quakes in virtually identical epicentres.Leave aside he plasticity of rock at the depths the experts give for them, the bubbles of steam that are supposed to be their cause aught to be far more widely spread than the less than 1/2 a degree apart in which the actual spread occurs.Whilst experts are prepared to ignore such salient points, the average person isn't ever likely to find out.Are they? Can they be expected to listen to people like me instead?I wouldn't, if I was them.
