I'm not sure about the ones that are marked: **
They are more than likely events taking place on the west shore of the north Pacific.* But in any case I still can't forecast the likelihood of the Greenland High.

But this was originally intended as a response to to a forecast about Blocking Highs. What is a man to do?

  1. Here are the events in the North Atlantic over 15 x 6 hour periods from the 17th January 2009: 1. 06:00: You can follow the 1016 isobar right around the North Atlantic from North America to Norway and into the Arctic. 2. 12:00 The isobars are still compacting even though close on to shore lines, a sure sign of severe earthquakes as they dissipate (Cyclosis.)3. 18:00 The Low off Scotland intensifies and the 1016 Mb line is still 80 degrees wide over 60 degrees N. 4. Midnight the 18th. Here come the mice; occluded fronts of mixed temperatures. The weather always throws a warm one over us when a serious quake occurs. Believe it or not I never looked it up, or if I did, I have forgotten what happened next.I still don't know what happened.Of course there has to be something 80 degrees from Madagascar but there is also one 80 degrees from just off Scotland isn't there?5. 06:00. Now the weather is in convolution with a line of Lows stretching from west of Greenland to France. 6. 12:00. The Low north of Iceland 949 millibars, has now moved out towards southern Greenland at 954 mb. But at least it is dying now, right? 7. 18:00. Between Greenland and Scotland there are 4 distinct Low centres. 8. Midnight the 19th. Something has pushed the High out of Newfoundland and sent it to the Davis Straight. It's all over bar the shouting, now. 9. 06:00. Ooh!Where has that High gone? Where has the 1016 gone?Bloody hell the Black Sea?AND deepest Canada?WHAT!!!?10. 12:00. This is a cartoon isn't it? Micky's mice? 11. 18:00. Are we back were we started? 12. Midnight the 20th. Are we nearly there yet? Ooh, look! What's that just coming out of the west?Is it a monster? Is it a monster? 13. Yes and a 990mb Low to join the mix trawling around in the Denmark Straight-Norwegian sea and etc.. 14. 06:00. 985 mb from a 990 mb. Just Bombing along to coin a phrase. 15. 12:00 and the others are all there to meet it at around 972 mb.*******I will have to get back to this thread with the pictures as the damn things won't post at the monment.I think the line is choked.*******Here's a few lunar phases from 2009:11th Jan. 03:2718th Jan. 02:4626th Jan. 07:55*So no prizes for guessing where the storms for anything marked with two asterisks are going to occur.
